GOYA is the Orthodox Church’s ministry for young people in grades 7 through 12. Its purpose is to strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ and help them grow as active participants in the sacramental and community life of the Church.
It gives Orthodox teenagers opportunities to deepen their faith, build lasting friendships, serve others, and take a fuller part in the life of their parish.
A place to belong
The teenage years bring new questions, responsibilities, relationships and challenges. GOYA gives young people a place within the Church where they can go on growing in their faith alongside their peers and the wider parish community.
Through worship, fellowship, service and witness, GOYA seeks to help teenagers understand that they are not preparing to become members of the Church someday. They are already members of the Body of Christ, and already share in the life of the Church.

The parish’s own GOYA page gives the ministry as open to ages 13–18 rather than by grade. The two have not been reconciled; ask the parish which it wants published.
Join us
Young people in grades 7 through 12 are welcome. Gatherings and activities are announced through the parish calendar and parish communications.
