Stewardship

Giving, and what it pays for

Stewardship is not dues. It is the offering by which the parish exists: the priest's salary, the utilities, the Sunday School materials, the charity the Philoptochos gives away, and the building itself.

Visitors are never expected to give. If you are new, put nothing in the tray and enjoy the coffee.

Cheques may be mailed to the parish office at 12326 Spotswood Furnace Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22407.

The annual stewardship pledge will be linked here once the parish confirms where it should point.

Building projects

The parish is raising money for capital work on the church and grounds, under the title United in faith, crafting a legacy for God. Three projects are named.

Parking lot
The first priority. The surface has reached a critical stage and is deteriorating further; five quotes for the repair average around $75,000.
The hall
New flooring, holes repaired and fresh paint. Hall rentals bring in a substantial income, so keeping the room attractive to hire is what sustains it.
Festival infrastructure
A carport over a new concrete pad, concrete extended across the grass beside the parking lot, and a gazebo — so that the festival no longer depends on the weather.
